Emergency care
Emergency care is the treatment of unexpected, severe medical injuries or infections. It is typically delivered in an emergency room or an ambulance. Our emergency medicine physicians stabilize your condition as quickly as possible to prepare you for the next step of care or discharge.
Brigham City emergency care services
Our board-certified ER physicians, nurses and other members of our emergency care team are here to treat everything from broken bones to high fevers and stroke.
Types of emergency care we offer
At our ER, we offer private patient rooms, as well as specialized rooms for trauma, obstetric, mental health and pediatric emergencies. In addition, we offer an intermediate care unit (IMC) with a highly trained staff to continuously monitor patients recovering from surgery, stroke or other illnesses and injuries.
If a higher level of care is needed, we can facilitate a transfer to a more specialized facility. We also provide medical airlift services via our AirCare helicopter ambulance, which is accessible just minutes away at our sister hospital Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Some of our advanced emergency care services include:
- Heart attacks — We provide rapid, effective care for all types of heart attacks and cardiac events. As an accredited Chest Pain Center recognized by the American College of Cardiology, our emergency room is recognized for having the highest standards in heart attack care.
- Pediatric emergency care — We provide around-the-clock pediatric emergency care in a safe and comfortable environment. With access to the right equipment to meet the unique needs of diagnosing and treating children, our ER specialists are trained and skilled in caring for kids of all ages.

We are designated as a Stroke Receiving Facility by the Utah Department of Health and administer the latest treatments to minimize lasting effects for both hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.
