Wound care
Wound care involves medical interventions to heal a wound after injury. Specialized treatment is provided for wounds that are nonhealing or refuse to heal on their own. A vital aspect of treatment includes learning how to properly dress and care for a wound.
Comprehensive wound care
Lakeview Hospital and its team of wound care and hyperbaric medicine experts are experienced in treating chronic, non-healing wounds. Our hospital's highly trained staff delivers an integrated team approach to healing. This includes an expert evaluation and a personalized care plan for every patient.
We also evaluate any underlying problem that may hinder wound healing, which can include:
- Infection control
- Lifestyle habits, such as smoking
- Nutrition deficits
- Vascular conditions

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
In hyperbaric therapy, the patient breathes pure oxygen while inside a compression chamber at pressures considerably greater than that at sea level. We offer advanced HBOT using our fully accredited monoplace hyperbaric chambers. The treatment involves delivering 100 percent oxygen in our pressurized chambers to patients with certain injuries and medical conditions.
