Heart and vascular surgery
If your heart or blood vessels have been damaged — by conditions such as heart failure or congenital heart abnormalities — cardiovascular surgeons work to repair them. They may use traditional surgery or minimally invasive approaches, which can enable a faster recovery for you.
Our heart and vascular surgery services
We treat heart and vascular conditions and diseases of all degrees, from poor circulation in your feet to blood clots in your arteries.
When surgery is needed, we provide it in our hybrid operating room, which offers advanced imaging systems to enable minimally invasive surgical techniques. It is staffed by a support team that receives ongoing training, ensuring they are able to bring our patients all the benefits of these technological advancements.
Specialty procedures we offer include:
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Femoropopliteal bypass surgery
- Other open- and robot-assisted thoracic surgeries, such as:
- Diaphragmatic pacing implantation
- Diaphragmatic plication for diaphragmatic paralysis
- Lung transplantation
Varicose vein treatments
Varicose veins—similar to spider veins—are swollen, often discolored veins in the legs or other areas of the body. They are caused by dysfunctional valves in the veins, which, over time, allow blood to build up in the veins. These are very common in women, but also appear in men. Although they are typically harmless, they can be a nuisance or sources of discomfort. In these cases, we offer two experts treatments for varicose and spider veins.
